WOLDS  

Tarascı town has two Wolds.One of them is Küpe and another one is Kavak Wold.Especially Küpe is worthseeing.There are many people in town who hasn’t seen Küpe yet,as a result of its being far away from town center and transport problems.Shepherds growing sheep or goat and people doing stockfarming in greater scales use Küpe.Nomads of Manavgat also use here as meadow.Nomads of Bozahtmet pitch their tents here every year.Nature buffs comes here and stay once in a year.Küpe is in the southwest of Tarascı.If you take the road from the mountain,you get tired.There are two ways to reach Küpe.The first one is Kapaklı Kelezler Elmalı Cumkurt then Küpe.The other one is the new barrage,Gemi Tası,Karamıklı and Küpe.on the way to küpe drinking cold water in Elmalı and having a breakfast ,before passing  Küpe taking a rest at the top,after passing over the top watching the marvellous scene and drinking tea is a really great pleasure.Küpe is in a small lowland surrounded by the mountains.Everywhere is gren there.Nearly it equals to 50 football pitches.Shepherds living here say that grass never dies.Praying at Nomad Graveyard is another gratification.The graves stayed here because nomads didn’t have chance to carry them.There are lots of water in Küpe and its said that it goes another place by a sinkhole.It’s an advantage that Küpe doesn’t have a highway.A highway causes the loss of the natural beauties.the ones living in Tarascı and having not seen Küpe yet have lived in vain…..
