HISTORICAL

                            Taraşcı is a town which is established 8 km west of Seydişehir. Nobody knows when did taraşcı established but everybody knows people have been living for a long time. There are some rumours about Taraşcı and seydisehir  were established at the some time. The marble  which was many  pulated priitinely at demiralan place and the remnant set old building confirm this idea. People guess the cemetery of kelezler is very old.  People calls kelezler  cemetery and karakoru place gavur evleri and it means  Taraşcı  was established before the turks come to the Anadolu.

         However Taraşcı people claim that Taraşcı was established  about 1300’s their prof is Şeyh Mahmut Bin Yahya  who disciple of seyyid Harun Veli  Hazretleri and has a tomb in Şıhlar streat of Taraşcı. They believe that Mahmut Bin Yahya come to Seydişehir with Seyyid Harun Veli and he Constructed Taraşcı Town.

         The soldiers who went Ymen side in National stragell age form Taraşcı didn’t come back who learn from elder people nobody all must come bak from 313-314-315’s  (we are continue researchs about this subject).

 Taraşcı town become a municipality in 1972 now 4 thousand people are living in Taraşcı.
